My journey in wellness began over thirty years ago at HCA Blake Hospital’s Corporate Wellness and Rehabilitation Center, where I excelled as an Exercise Specialist. During my fourteen years in this role, I developed exercise prescriptions for patients undergoing cardiac, pulmonary, and physical therapy (phase 3). Additionally, I taught pre- and postnatal classes as well as a variety of group fitness classes.
After leaving Blake Hospital, I took the initiative to start my own personal training business. I actively worked with clients and sought subcontracting opportunities with select companies. My specialized experience in post-injury training has been highly effective in helping numerous clients through their unique self-care journeys. Additionally, obtaining certifications in Pilates and yoga has greatly improved my knowledge of mind-body fitness. I firmly believe that mental wellness is essential to overall health.
In my free time, I enjoy painting in my art studio, attending sporting events with my family, boating, and watching football. I support my college team, the WVU Mountaineers, as well as my professional teams, the Buccaneers and Steelers. My favorite way to practice self-care is to relax and take naps with my mini dachshunds, reminding me that moments of rest and comfort can rejuvenate the spirit.
