The Center’s number one priority is the safety of our members, volunteers, participants, and staff. Due to the recent COVID-19 outbreak and based on the recommendation of local and state officials as well as Governor DeSantis’ statement “recommending local municipalities and private entities to strongly consider limiting or postponing mass gatherings in the state of Florida.”
The Grass Roots concert will be postponed until December 3rd, 2020. Previously purchased tickets will be honored and additional tickets will remain on sale. If you have questions regarding tickets, please call the Manatee Performing Art Center Box Office at (941)748-5875.
Also, the 27th Annual Tour of Homes will be postponed until next year. Tickets that were purchased for this year’s tour will be good for next year. The quilt raffle will also be postponed and tickets already purchased will be included in next year’s drawing.
At this time, The Center will remain open for regularly scheduled fitness classes, youth programs, and sports. We will continue to monitor all COVID-19 developments and maintain contact with county officials and other local organizations. We will continue precautionary procedures consistent with the guidance recommended by The Center for Disease Control to protect members, staff, volunteers, and participants and help reduce the risk of transmission and acquisition of COVID-19. These actions include emphasizing proper handwashing, disinfecting of the facility, and implementing further protocols if necessary.
